From legacy to leadership: upgrading the digital State

Transforming legacy systems is key to unleashing the potential of digital government. But data on current legacy systems is incomplete, and many systems have not been identified, let alone had plans put in place for transformation. The scale of the challenge requires new approaches – to central coordination, funding, prioritisation and commercial partnerships. Re:State's paper From legacy to leadership outlines a set of ideas for driving the next phase of legacy IT transformation forward.  

Re:State are convening a joint roundtable in partnership with UK Government Chief Technology Officer, Sonia Patel, bringing together leading experts from across the public and private sectors to explore the report’s findings and help shape the future direction of Government’s approach to systemically and sustainably tackle technology modernisation in-line with ambitions for a rewired state.  

This is a private conversation of government technology leaders and delivery partners, and will be held under the Chatham House Rule.
