Re:State is delighted to host a panel event at Labour Party Conference in partnership with Community Pharmacy England. Please join us in person outside the Secure Zone (approximately a 2-minute walk from the ACC) at Britannia Two room, Holiday Inn Express, L3 4AD. You do not need a pass to attend.
The day after entering Government, the Health Secretary declared the NHS broken and argued that fixing it meant being honest about the scale of the challenge.
The 10 Year Health Plan decidedly committed to a system-wide shift to neighbourhood health, pledging to deliver a neighbourhood health centre in every community. These centres will be underpinned by a broad coalition across the primary care ecosystem. Community pharmacy, for example, will be central, expanding their role in prevention while taking on a greater responsibility for the management of long-term conditions.
Creating the conditions for success are thus essential. This panel event will explore what it means to build a community centric, future-fit NHS, and what will be required to deliver the Government’s vision as outlined in the 10 Year Health Plan.
Re:State is delighted to hold this Labour Party Conference panel with Stephen Kinnock MP, Minister for Care, Department of Health and Social Care; Steve Race MP, Chair, APPG for Pharmacy; Janet Morrison OBE, Chief Executive, Community Pharmacy England; and Sarah Woolnough, Chief Executive, The King’s Fund, to discuss Labour’s vision for shifting care into the community and building a future-fit NHS, involving a more preventative and patient-centric approach.
This event is kindly sponsored by Community Pharmacy England.
