Liberal Democrat Party Conference - The future of the NHS: strengthening care close to home

Re:State is delighted to be hosting a private roundtable event at the Liberal Democrat Party Conference.

The Liberal Democrats have long championed a health system that delivers care closer to people’s homes, prioritising accessibility, prevention, and innovation. The 2024 manifesto emphasised decentralised, community-based care, with pharmacies and local providers playing a leading role.

Yet, it is clear that delivering ambitions for neighbourhood health, preventative care, and technological innovation will not be straightforward. Questions remain about how to engage the wider primary care ecosystem – including community pharmacies – as a cornerstone of local, accessible, and sustainable healthcare.

In a time when the NHS faces unprecedented challenges and uncertainty, this roundtable discussion will explore how we can shape a community-centric, future-fit health service.

Re:State is delighted to welcome Helen Morgan MP, Liberal Democrat Spokesperson, Health and Social Care to discuss how we can build a future-fit NHS and shift to a community centric model.

This private roundtable will be held in-person and will take place under the Chatham House rule and is kindly supported by Community Pharmacy England.
